I am blessed with a target-rich environment around my house and I am slowly thinning the herd with my longbow. The last one I killed was probably the fattest squirrel I have ever seen! It was like skinning a bear. I should have rendered the fat to make patch lube for my flintlocks. Instead, I fed it to my dogs. They sure enjoyed it! FYI - I live in Missouri where the season starts the end of May and goes until the middle of February.

It's great that I rarely have to leave the porch to hunt. Cuts down on ticks, that's for sure. It also make hunting clothes optional.

I grew up in MO, and one of the things I miss most is the quality squirrel hunting that is available there. Small-game just isn't the same anywhere else! Thanks for sharing!
