A couple of hikes this weekend able to get about 40 hrs of good sweating before needing a washing before it was going to get tainted with some bo....the face coverage is very good comparing it to one of my kuiu tops...gives you full face coverage

Looks like a lot of excess room in top of hood. How’s the quality of fabric? I read that seems like it could have a piling issue.

My trusty model holding the shirt a small amount of piling in areas where pack straps rub and outer layer rubbing nothing to be concerned on....fabric is very high qualityShirt is taking a beating very good so far

I just checked the hood on my Helio and it fits more like the Kuiu picture. I have a Kuiu merino pro 1/4 zip and it’s hood has less coverage than the Helio. The Helio hood is very similar to the Firstlite Chama from years past...nearly perfect.

I think I will pass on this hoody. I am a huge SG fan but there are other brands that don't pile like that.

Plenty of coverage on the finger holes to give you some coverage when gloves aren’t needed

Is it fairly quite? Seems like a good piece for archery season. Going to be hard for me to walk away from gridded/ripstop fleece though.

It is very quite the soft nature of the top keeps it from making much noise

I like the looks of the hood size-wise, that little tiny hood is my biggest complaint with my Kuiu pieces

Would it be more comparable to the sitka apex hoody, or is it heavier more like the mid weight hoody?

Just got mine. Did you guy find it loosen up a bit after using? It’s just a tad tight.

Edit: talked to stone glacier. Exchanging for a xl.

Loosen slightly but would say retains 97% of original good trip this week drying out around stove

My only rip on this hoody is that the pocket is oddly low on the front. It sits behind my bino harness and the weight of my binos (EL RAMGE) pushes that zipper into my tee shirt underneath. It’s no biggie just take a bit to get used to.

One last big round with hoody varying conditions with lots of wet Idaho brush liking the quick drying properties
