Personally, I’d want that caliber in at least a 7.5#+ rifle so I could actually shoot it to it’s potential.
Seekins precision
I'd you want a 24" sub 6# you'll be running a thin steel barrel, ti action, and an all carbon sporter style stock.looks like the 5.5 comes with 21” barrel. Seems short for that caliber.
You might want to wait until after shot show to see if any other manufacturers are introducing the PRC for 2020. Personally I plan to do a barrel swap on my kimber subalpine 300wsm to 6.5prc. With bedding/re painted stock and a 22.5" barrel it should be 7lb scoped. 40mm vx3i/talleys
Any lighter and I'm sure my ethical accuracy would suffer beyond 300 yards.
From what you guys have seen in the past, do you think there is any chance Tikka or Sako produce a 6.5 PRC? The Finnlight in 6.5 PRC could be really awesome.
Seekins has a custom shop, might could order one that route with your bbl. choice, & still keep sub 6#.looks like the 5.5 comes with 21” barrel. Seems short for that caliber.
