I was thinking about seeking precision- but not sure exactly what I need to order? The 20moa ? And high rings?

20 MOA won't benefit you unless you have an alignment issue with a Z6. You could probably fit the extra 3mm compared to my Z8i 2-16x50 in the space left with these Talley highs:

Ok I figured the Talley would be the likely most popular- I am a hunter not a bench shooter so I mount it once and it’s there literally forever- ha -

so I didn’t know if Warne or Seekins or others might be a consideration

Hawkins Precision LR Hybrids on a couple Ridgelines. Lightweight like Talley’s but much more stout, 25MOA and built in level. No brainer for a LR hunting rifle IMO

I went with the Christensen rail and the 6 screw Nightforce ultralight rings. C

If you want a level, The Hawkins hybrid is really nice.. Put them on a couple of guns this summer and one was a ridgeline.
Seekins mounting systems are really good if you are not worried about a level. And talleys are the most budget friendly. Ive used all three.

What stock you put on that one?
It’s a Mesa Precision stock. Also had a buddy use the Hawkins Hybrids on his Ridgeline at the same time. He quickly changed to a ring and rail combo. The Hybrids fit was not very good for his receiver.

Would you mind posting a side profile pic of the rifle with the Zeiss? I’ve been looking at a set of these for a CA Traverse and a 4-16 V4. Thanks.

If I use the rail- would I drop down to the medium rings? Or still need high for 56mm bell ?

Too many factors for me to say for sure what size of rings you would need. My scope is a Vx6HD 4-24x52, 34mm tube, and those are Nightforce medium rings (1” high) with plenty of room to spare.

Nx8 50mm in talleys receipt says 74x700 you’ll definitely need taller with bigger obj.

One extra note. I paid $54 directly from Talley. Called and spoke with someone. Rails are super nice for swapping between guns but also seems to raise cheek weld more than I like. Have plenty both ways so I wouldn’t worry too much. Nx8 was shortly out when I purchased so was a bit of a guess. Got lucky. For a change

I have the leupold aluminum rail and their steel rings. Bomb proof. Heavier set up than the tallys but I wouldn't go back.
