Every other year we do a family vacation. This year I would like to find a place on a lake that would give me access to fishing, hiking, a hour drive or so into a major city.
Looking at a lake house that would house 5 kids and a small lap dog. Maybe a my lab also.
We love to trout fish, both lakes and high country rivers. Love to hike, boulder, backpack. Wife would love to just lay by the water and enjoy the view. Don't want to live on top of other people. My kids want space to be kids.
Would like to plan a 10-14 day vacation. Anyone know of an area that we should check out.
