So it appears that Swaro is getting after it this year. They are adding a bunch of stuff and adding some super updates.
EL Ranges are going to be updated with new ballistic computer and better rangefinding engine. They are going to adapt some of the electronics from their DS rifle scope.
They dropped the prices and renamed the EL10X42 to the Legend. It is a bit less than other alphas.
They reclassed the 10x42/8X42 SLCs and moved them over to be the alpha part of Kahles. So you will see them rebranded made in Austria but with the Kahles brand.
That big hole for Swaro is going to be filled with a 10X42/8X42 CL Companion this summer.
They are also revamping their little pocket 8X25/10X25 CLs so that they have more FOV and raincovers.
Swaro Optics division products are selling like crazy with expansion of birders and hunters.

The Kahles website now has the new Helia S 10x42 and 8x42 models upcoming. and are
a clone of the Swarovski SLC models. They are in a brown color with a ornange stripe, I like green better.
They will be available starting in April.

As many know, Kahles is a brother company of Swarovski, and they are located in Austria at the main
campus of Swarovski in Absam. All warranty issues with Kahles are handled by Swarovski, so proceed with
confidence.

I have owned a Kahles 8x42 binocular, and currently enjoy a Kahles 3-10x50 scope.

It will be interesting to see the new CL models in the 42 size, I think this is a good way to proceed
as they need a new mid-range model priced that way.

Kahles, may have a factory there, but the HQ is in Absam. Things have changed a lot in the last
few years.

They should probably update their website then, since it lists Guntramsdorf, a suburb of Vienna:

The Kahles binocular is a non-USA product and will be available outside the USA only.

According to my Swaro rep there is no 8x42/10x42 CL coming

Doug: Did you stock up on any SLC 42 models, they quit making them in December ?
Some other sellers are clearing them out at nice prices.

The new CL 42 models will be forthcoming in the US.

Swarovski will be selling these in the USA as well as the rest of the world. Just as fast they can.

Swarovski needs a midrange model, the EL light fits but is pricey, and the NL is priced in the stratosphere.

Get your green SLC’s while you can. The Swarovski brand is still worth more than the Kahles brand. ;)
