Just got a z3 and instructions say 15 in/lbs for aluminum rings. Seams a little weak to me but checking to see if anyone has had issues going up to 20?

15. That’s a light scope because of thin aluminum walls to the body. Overtighten those rings and you’ll pinch the erector assembly.

Thanks gents to qualify your feedback you have issues between 15 and 20 with Swarovski scopes?

No, because I don't torque my rings past the manufacturer's torque specs on my rings.

P.S., if you overtorque your rings, you can crush the tube, and then you'll be paying for the maintube replacement.

I have a pile of Z3s that are torqued between 18-24lbs according to my FAT wrench. I personally think the FAT wrenches run a little light. YMMV
