If going head to head 65mm objective with 25-50x / 25x - 60x who wins or is it a draw? Is the extra expense of the atx worth the modularity?

My primary use is to put it in a pack. Seems like the easy answer is the ATS.

and any advantage with the extender?

I have used both and would save the weight and $$$ by purchasing the 25-50 ATS.

If primary use is putting in a pack, why wouldn’t you want a more packable STS?
You know what they say, ATS users are mostly lazy truck hunters who are always looking up. STS users puts boots on the ground and find themselves looking level and down more.

I actually would prefer an sts but I can get a deal on a new ats.
