I have a CVA optima NW. Currently i have it dialed in to shoot 348 grain power belts with 100 grains of triple seven (2 pellets)
I now know that Washington allows 209 primers and i have purchased the breech plug for the 209 primers.
When i use this new breech plug, will i have to re-sight the gun in, or can i expect it to shoot the same as it does with my current breech plug using musket caps for primers. Basically i want the increased reliablitity of the 209's but i dont have time to re- sight in the gun before the season if it will be hittin different. I have alot of confidence built up in the setup as it sits and i am concerned I will screw this up by switching to 209's this close to season
The gun has been shooting pretty darn good for me out to 130 yards with a williams peep sight, not sure if i should screw up my mojo, or switch now. I will be hunting the olympic peninsula.
Thanks for any opinions. I am pretty new to this muzzy stuff, but feeling good about my upcoming washington roosevelt season.
