Synthetic boot waterproofing

Anyone have any tips or products that they've had good luck with for waterproofing synthetic sections of their boots? I've got scarpa mont blanc boots, i've always treated the whole boot with obenaufs. But they leak like crazy and i feel like its getting in through the synthetic tongue section of the boot. Maybe a spray?

I use Crispi waterproof spray and it works surprisingly well.

Did a good thorough cleaning and prepped my boots for some more water proofing and found the tongues of my boots had small holes in them about midway up where my ankle flexes, holes are from the laces.
