If you want a nice looking shot of the animal, the tasco cams won't help very much. I've got occasional good pictures and some good video, but I mainly use them for public land so that it doesn't hurt as bad when they get stolen. I usually use them just to figure out how frequently deer are using particular trails. There's several cams that are just a little pricier that have much better picture quality.

These were pictures off mine, I thought the quality was great for a $30 camera

I run a few of the Tasco's, always been happy with them.

They take decent pics but I’ve had trouble with them being reliable - more than once I’ve left them out for a couple weeks only to return to an empty sd card. For the money they aren’t bad.

28.88 at Walmart. I have two. Have had one that filled a whole card in an hour with videos so there is a lack of reliability at times.

For the money they are great, I've had mine going on 3 years now and not a single problem with any of them (I have 3, well 2 since one grew legs and walked away). It's nice that they will take a single picture, 3 picture burst or video mode. not bad for a camera that you can get for under $30.

I agree with others. "For the money they are great." Although we have had a couple not work at all right out of the box...

Personally I like anything Moultrie and you can usually find refurbished models or discontinued stuff for near what the Tasco cams cost.

I also ran two this year on public and was impressed, for $30. id test them a bit before leaving the woods on initial set ups though to be sure everything was just right, never missed pictures of me running at distance. the twighlight pictures can be hit or miss on quaility. but they are very easy to use i would say, unlike some cameras out there. if it helps i plan on buying more unless i find some good deals on moultrie ones like the above comment.

I don’t like the battery life. Buy the primos proof cam $50 on Amazon new and has one year plus battery life super good sensor for the money doesn’t miss anything. Cant beat it for price

I have about 10 of the Tasco cheapo cams. The two that have both failed have been from the gasket around the edge failing and letting water in. Just something to be conscious of. Otherwise, they're not bad. I bring a climbing stick in and put them 10-12 ft up with a stick behind them pointing down.

I got a brand new one that will not load a pic/video to the SD card. The card is in specs of tasco. I have formatted it on the camera. I know the cam is taking a pic, for I can see the LEDs glow red. The card is good as I tried it in another brand camera. Probably just take it back to wal mart and try another.

I think they are hit or miss. My buddy had a couple of them. One stopped taking pictures after only a few times out. The other one still works.

Great for public land so if they get stolen it doesn’t hurt quite as bad. Reliable and decent pics with a good quality SD card.

I never would've bought one for myself just because I normally have terrible luck with anything cheap. With that said, my in-laws bought one for my 6 year old in October...its been out since then and is on the original batteries and has taken lots of pics. Day pics rival those of the more expensive cams I have. Night pics are not great but for the price, I'm certainly not gonna complain. Actually ended up purchasing two more and have not been out to check them yet. We'll see what I find.
