Just showing the difference in taxidermy work. Hidden Valley Taxidermy has been doing my work for several years now and has recently redid a mountain lion I had mounted in 2008 (which I was never really very happy with). I'm sure you will be able to tell which one was the original and which one is the dedo. Can't say enough good things about Erik from Hidden Valley

Yikes. Good call on the redo. Like everyone says, cats are tough.

Any idea what the process is for a redo like that? I cannot imagine rehydrating the hide and peeling it off a mannequin and then resetting it is all that easy. Especially completely changing the pose.

He told me it wasn't put together all that well and was not glued, so he could cut the stitches and remove the hide. Rehydrated it and started over.
Cost me twice to mount it but was well worth doing.
