I didn't hit my fitness and weight goals this year but I continue to go in the right direction. I went from 303 pounds to 275 and got much stronger. I am still after the goal of 225 or less while increasing strength and continuing cardio progress. and will try and be ready next year. I did go after Mountain Caribou and was successful. My fitness gains allowed me to at least keep up with my kids and do lots of hikes and we all had a great time. Ironically the caribou we got came 95% of the way to us. Even 303 pound me could have handled this one but not with as much energy. I wanted to thank the people on this forum who have encouraged better life style choices and acted as inspiration to try and continue a fitness quest even when work takes over my life. Even though this is the sheep forum I thought it would be honest to continue chart my progress and keep accountable. Thanks again!

Good job. Just remember the weight didn't come on overnight and won't go away overnight, so don't get discouraged, but just take it steady!

Keep going in the right direction! I've been going the wrong way lately, but it wasn't long ago that I was over 350 (6'5"). At my lowest I was down to 190, but settled at about 225. It's hard work, but well worth it.

Nice work on the weight loss and nice caribou! If you've made a lifestyle change and commitment to being healthy, then nothing can stop you! Slow and steady. Healthy diet and build strength and muscle and it will burn more fat than cardio alone. Being fit and healthy isn't a race. I like to think of it as a lifestyle. Keep up the great work!
