What states have an elk or mule deer general season still open during the week of Thanksgiving? I know Montana does and that's my first choice but I'm looking for other options as well.
Id like to do a hunt somewhere in the west over Thanksgiving week for either mule deer or elk, that is the best time for me to get off work because I'll only have to take 3 days off instead of 5. It is possible to take 5 days off in a row earlier than that but I'd rather not. I know that late in the season is sure to be a challenge but oh well, I'm up for it.
I'll most likely be driving out Friday night and Saturday, then beginning to hunt Sunday or Monday, and won't have to head home till the following Saturday. So that being said, it's gotta be close enough to home (PA) to be able to get there in time. And preferably pretty decent draw odds.
