I could not decide witch one I needed so I got them all......

I thought about doing a review/comparison here if that
is something the "slide" would like.

Nice!

I'm going to take a stab at your choice to bring with you on a hunt, because there is no way you will be backpacking all of those around....unless they make a triple bino holder I don't know about. /grin

The 12x

I use the 10x as my go to pare.
Large fov,
Bright,
Forgiving eye placement.
When not on my tripod there easier to hold steady.
They have the most relaxed image.

The 12x comes into its own when glassing longer ranges
all day from a ridge.

The 15x is the best for picking country apart.

I must admit I have a Glass problem.....
I also have the Zeiss RF 10x42
and the Nikon GH 10x42.
and and owned few others.

I bought all of them thanking I would sell the ones
I don't use but I found they all have a place in my hunting "toolbox"

I have the Zeiss RF (2018) , the 10x50 EL and the 15x56 SLC. The Zeiss for obvious reasons are the most versatile, lightest and just all around best bang. Glass still using the FL and same design, prisms as HT models. Poor light transmission in right barrel due to Rangefinder. Still excellent but wish there was a tripod stud. Very little CA and still noticeable curvature and pin cushion in outer 80%. The 10x50 EL was a much better option over the 12x50 and are still without question the ultimate Bino on the market. They’ve all tried and come close (Zeiss SF/Leica Noctivid) but haven’t achieved the EL status. The 10’s offer a larger field of view, considerably more eye relief (don’t believe Swaros website) and typical Swaro EL edge to edge, razor sharp color fringe and or chromatic abbreviation free view. The 12x on the other isn’t quite the same. One would think it would simply be identical to the 10x but there not the same. A little CA is present and the slightest curvature does appear. Still excellent choice...just not for me. I prefer less eye strain and the option to hand hold them as well....so 10x was the ticket. The 15x SLC is a completely different animal. Pretty much only and best use for hunters would be stationary tripod use. Daytime use exceptional and twilight the SLC really shines. Strange but the 15x SLC has almost a perfect flat field without the use of field flattening lens coatings. It is almost on par with the EL but even the 15x SLC with the smallest exit pupil is brighter during twilight than the EL’s with the larger exit pupil. All exceptional glass and can never go wrong. Just my .2 for the night.

I’ve got 15x56 slc’s that I completely quit using after getting the BTX. I am thinking about trying a pair of the 12x50’s. I have 10x32 and x42’s. But I would like to try the 12’s

Thx for the thread .223!

It makes me feel like I'm not alone..... in an optics support group!

but aren't we supposed to talk each other down...instead of prodding each other to buy?! /grin

15 don't give me enough over my favorite binos the 12 ELs, plus I like the bigger FOV

Now the new Maven 18s.... Amazing how much of a difference 3x can make.

The Nikon HG for its size and cost is the best I have seen.
wide field of view,
light weight,
92% sweet spot.
bright,

I would rate them with the swaro slc

One of my BIG gripes with the Swaro EL is NO real tripod adapter-
You would think for a set of $2800 glass it should have it.......

I'm thinking of sending mine in to Outdoorsman's
for the stud install but then I would want to switch to there pan heads/plates
and I have all manfrotto tripods/heads so it would be $1- 2 K to switch.
