i watched a pretty big bull today for a hour still packing both sides. he was bouncing all over the place and shaking his head. i was sure i would get to see a antler drop but nope, off into the timber he went, head gear intact, i find most of my sheds after or right before the 1st of april around here
When I took that picture I saw the darndest thing I've ever seen two bulls do and I'm pissed at myself that my camera wasn't ready because it would probably have ended up in a magazine. There were two bulls one a nice 6by6 and the other a large bull with it's antler's already dropped. These two bulls were up on their hind legs fighting and whacking each other with their front legs just like cows do. I guess the one bull was smart enough to duke it out with his hooves and not try to fight like he normally would if he had antlers. It was pretty darn cool.
