Thoughts on big bill merino wool pants and jackets

What are your thoughts on the merino wool pants and jackets by big bill?

What other companies make a decent wool pant amd jacket for mid and late seasons up in the north (Alberta/Saskatchewan)?

I personally find the Big Bill merino wool pants itchy without a base layer. Otherwise they are warm and quiet. Good for the price, but they are somewhat bulky.

My King of the Mountain is my go to in bitter cold but I've had it all for many, many years. Wouldn't buy the new stuff.
Occasionally I see some good deals on Ebay for older KOM.
