The fact that you thought to make a post on the internet means replace before shooting to ease your mind. Doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks, if it’s .01% of a thought in your mind when you pull back, just replace it and have confidence in your set up.

I change strings fairly often, just for the “insurance” against blowing up my bow. Strings and nocks would save a lot of heartache.

Contact the builder. Many will send you another string at a reduced price.
