When I get a chance I'll try to post the story the short version is
We got to our unit at 11pm Thursday, parked and went to bed.
Friday morning got up, had some hot chocolate, went for a hike, got into a herd, but no bucks that my oldest son was interested in. Next younger had some close calls with some of the does. On hike back out came across another buck he didn't want and a doe. Another close call.
Got back to truck, headed to next spot, saw a few on the way, stopped did some glassing, saw some more.
Stopped at one of our favorite spots, hiked in
In the end git a buck and a doe (wrong buck, but he was still happy with it), cut them up and packed them out 1.2 miles. Need a bigger pack if we haul two at once again.
Did some site seeing on the way home.
Used onx to find some BLM land on the way home to camp on
Two long days of driving. Four hour hunt
