I have had a similar experience. I really want my 30-06 superlite to like 180 accubonds, but it just doesn't. Different than you though, the 165 don't make much difference. Both the Federal and Nosler loads 165/180 come in at 1"-1.5". It seems to come down to what they are loading, rather than weight because the factory 178 eld-x are the right recipe and shoot consistently under moa out to 500.

With the high BC of the eld-x you carry good energy down-range and have over 1500 ft# at 500 yards making it an excellent north-american all around choice.
I don't know what load combos you are trying by all three of the ones I've built loads for absolutely loved 180 Accubonds ? H-4831 and RL-17 are my favorite powders and either 210M or cci250 primers, don't think I ever had any groups over 1 1/4" / 4 shots and most were much tighter and consistent - I killed a bunch of stuff with mine, AI'd it and killed a bunch more and now it's a 338/06 AI so let the games begin

Agree with this... My superlite shoots 180 ABs great. RL 22 gets me 2875ish at 1/2 - 3/4 moa.

168ttsx shoot great as well over imr 4350. Right around 2900-2925 fps.

Just wanted to update yall with some pictures. I topped her w the Zeiss V6 3-18x50 w Talley lows, added a Harris 9-13” bipod, and she weighs a touch under 9lbs fully loaded and dressed. I could take the bipod off if wanted to shave more weight. Really excited about it! Shooting it for the first time tomorrow.
