I’ve been piecing together a long range tikka rig. I still haven’t decided if I want to do a proof prefit 6.5 prc, proof steel sendero light, or keep it like it sits. I started off with a tikka super lite in 7 rem mag. I added red snake bottom metal with mdt mags. Murphy precision titanium rail and a McMillan A3 hydrodipped kuiu. It weight 7.2 pounds on bathroom scales

Did you get a larger barrel inlet in case you get a thicker barrel? There looks to be a long of room.

Concerned about the barrel inlet. I think it is inletted for a ctr barrel. I bet I have to have re inletted for the proof.

Looking nice, I am building on a superlite 30-06 aswell but as a light mountain rifle.
So far I have fluted the bolt and bolt handle, added a APA muzzle brake, and an AGComposites Privateer stock.
I need to change out the scope rings since I damaged the thread on that back ring, I did drilled and threaded it with a larger bolt but hate the looks.

I have yet to weight the complete rifle with scope but Second picture is weight before cerkoting and fluting with just a normal pepper brake

How do you like the AG Privateer?

It looks great, but I've been wondering how low the cheek is, and if I'll need a stock pack or riser to get lined up with a scope.

I still need to go to the range, havent shot with it but fit is good, I have low scope rings at the moment that are sitting a little high because its mounted on a 2 piece rail cheek rest is good, I did order tikka scope rings that will mount on the original dovetail but not bacause of cheek rest issues, but because I want a lower weight and want to eliminate the 2 piece rail. Loving the stock so far

What stock is this? Looks like mcmillan game warden, just not sure. Love the kuiu vias.

Looks good, in the same boat on barrels for a build in working on. Can’t decide if the proof is worth it yet

Website says 24oz. I believe Wildcat customs is about 6oz lighter.
I doubt it, wildcat composites sells a stock without butt pad there was someone here that built on one and stated 18.2 ounces thats without bedding, recoil lug and buttpad

Yeah, I think that build was where I saw the 18oz weight from but you're prob right about it being the unfinished weight. Any idea on the weight of yours? I see its advertised as 24oz on their website.
