What was the purpose in cutting it back and threading? What kind of velocity are you getting with those great groups?
Threaded for a thunderbeast can in the future...wanted to keep it as short and handy as possible when the can shows up. Just a tick over 2700 on my magnetospeed

You’ll have to keep me posted how the thunderbeast can works. I had a superlite in 300 WM and my smith wouldn’t thread it for my can. Have you tested any larger group sizes? My superlite opened up after 2 shots when the barrel heated up. I could put them darn near in the same hole if I let it cool between shots though

Will do. No further load testing as of yet. Looking to do a 120gr hammer load next round. You still have the super lite? 9/16x24 is the ticket for the light/super lites. My 300win mag lite is threaded the same at the full lenght 24in barrel.

Unfortunately I don’t, but was thinking about picking up one in 300wsm or another 300 win mag

Better yet, get a gunsmith to install a shoulder and have it threaded to 5/8x24.

Looked into that a little but the factory euro tikka's come 15×1 which is damn near identical to 9/16x24 so i figured that was good enough...group is my bone stock tikka lite in 300 win mag that was just threaded 9/16x24 is all. Factory 180gr accubonds at 100yds

Find some Big Game and use a magnum primer, you‘ll get another 100 fps, maybe more.

P
Rather have the temp stable powder in my opinion...plenty of oomph for a deer and under gun..got a 300wm for everything bigger

Pharmseller knows his 7-08's. I run a tikka compact (20") with thunderbeast ultra 7. Sta ball 6.5 has been fantastic with 150 gr ballistic tips and partitions.

You have the audacity to post rifle specs to Rokslide that include Talley rings and a Leupold, and not Sportsmatch and SWFA or Nightforce!? 3 shot group!? BLASPHEMY!!

Only kidding, nice shooting and setup.

Lol simple and light is the goal. Yeah 3 shot groups. Im a magnifaction whore and run a 3-24 march on my hunting rifle but apparently you dont need all the mag to shoot small groups lol
