Looking to have my Tikka T3 Manbun threaded. Mostly will have a cap on it but for the seldom times I get to use a can on out of state hunts id like the option. Would it be best to go 5/8 24 or stick with the 1/28 and then if need be get an adapter ? Muzzle brake might be an option at one point if my girlfriend wants to try shooting

I’m assuming you’ve got a 5/8 direct thread suppressor. With a Tikka Lite you probably won’t have enough shoulder if you go 5/8, but you could talk to your gunsmith and the suppressor manufacturer to confirm.

I cut two of mine down to 18.5” and threaded at 1/2x28. For attaching a can, I use the Area 419 mounting system for all my rifles and have found it to be a very easy solution. 83F9A031-C0DC-46C2-AF5B-9B08D94D58D3.jpeg
