I have an opportunity to buy an older Tikka T3 stainless (not T3X) 243 that looks to be in really good condition. In anyone's opinion what is reasonable good price for this rifle? Just to clarify: rifle and factory rings, no scope.

New stainless T3X from online stores, people are getting for under $500. I personally wouldn’t pay more than $350 or so. I’m not a huge fan of used rifles, especially sight unseen or pictures only. Just my 2 cents though.

Not sure where your seeing those prices, but i paid $600 for my SS T3 lite in .308 hardly used. Shoots great. Installed the elay trigger spring, free floated the barrel, its a shooter.

I would not pay more than $400 and that would be pushing it. You can get new T3Xs for under $500 frequently.

I understand. What I was telling you was the price that’s a no brainer.

243 are barrel burners. 200 rounds is probably 1/8 of it. I wouldn’t pay more the. 80% retail of any 243. Even if it’s minty.

T3x upgrades are probably worth 75$ or so from t3.

I’ll buy every T3 in 243 to 300 WM available if the price is $400 or less.....
Good luck....
The locked and loaded deal on stainless is over and rare and was 6.5 Creedmoor only. Even then you add $20 for shipping and transfer fee.
To the OP > A 243 isn’t popular but it’s worth $450. If you post a $450 SS T3 243 on any of several hunting forums it’ll sell in 24 hours or less.
Lastly, I have bought ~ 2 dozen used hunting rifles on the ‘net the last 10 years and none were even close to being shot out...

ONE place had a deal on some 6.5 CM’s. Can’t say I’ve EVER seen a used one under $500.

Would love to see all the links to the other sites offering the same. $450 used SS T3 243 wouldn’t last anytime.

I missed out on the Locked and Loaded SS 6.5 CM deal.

I would also be interested in seeing some links to other sites that have fair prices.

Mostly interested in a T1X .22 lr and a TX3 .308 in SS.

The one I've got an opportunity on is $500 for a T3 SS 243. Probably a fair price but not a stellar deal for an older T3.
