WTS Tikka T3X 243Win Barrel

I have a brand new, unfired Tikka T3X 20" barrel in 243Win 1:10 twist. This barrel was removed from a new gun as the action is being used for a custom build. Asking $150 plus shipping.

Curious if anyone knows, what if I put this on a Tikka 7mm-08? Would it turn into a .243 immediately, or would the chamber need working? Seems with the two cases being identical, this would be a turn-key swap?

Tikka tolerances are pretty good. Should be able to thread this on and go shoot

If it were me I'd be checking it with a go gauge first, but it might work.

Tikka are good enough that people are making prefits for them. I've swapped barrels on one and headspace was good.

I’d never swap without checking headspace, but overwhelming odds are that it is good to go.

It "should" be turnkey, but I have used a gauge to check when putting on a new-to-my-action barrel.
