Time to replace strings?

Wondering what you guys think before I take the time to drive to the archery shop just to be told this is nothing to worry about. I think I’m using the correct terminology below, but please correct me if not.

The pictures show my string at the cable guard. You can see that it looks like the serving has completely worn off at both connection points there. I am not seeing any abnormal fraying or wear anywhere else.

The last couple of outings, I’ve noticed everything across the board is about 2-3 inches low. Same arrows and setup I’ve been running for a months without issue.

This is a PSE NTN (if you couldn’t tell from the obnoxious green string color). I’ve had it for about 16 months, but this is my first bow, so I’ve shot several thousand arrows through it at this point at 65 then 70 lbs.

Take it in to the shop. If there’s no broken strands have them reserved. Once they reserve the cables I’d have your tune rechecked. That should get you through the hunting season and allow you to get the strings changed at the first of the year.
