Traditions Hawkins 50 cal 30-inch barrel

Has or does anyone shoot or hunt with a Traditions Hawkins percussion rifle? I’m looking at purchasing one for a elk hunt and plan to get comfortable shooting out to 150 yards. Open to suggestions. I currently have a TC New Englander but want something with a longer barrel. It seems really well balanced with the 30-inch octagon barrel. Interested in hearing about recommendations on loads, bullets, and accuracy. Plan to use TC maxi-balls in 345 grain since it’s a 1:48 twist barrel. Thanks
