Drove 45 miles to scout some very promising bear habitat prior to the open of Idaho's spring bear season, and hopefully "set up" my 2 new trailcams. Prior to leaving on my preseason scouting trip I packed all my gear, batteries, trailcams, etc., and familiarized myself with both trailcams I had purchased several weeks ago. Hiked a grueling 5 miles to a "very promising location", and fought my way through knee high hard packed snow, and ice. Located a very good site, and trees to mount both cams, then cleared surrounding tree branches, and obstructions. Sat in swamp grass, and water loading batteries, and securing straps to both trailcams. Forgot SD cards.....Trailcams won't function without SD cards......
