Got my 2020 spring bear back from the taxidermist a while back and just realized I never posted it here. Opted to get the hide soft tanned and the head mounted, no felt backing. Shout out to Dan Hastings at Western Taxidermy, excellent communication and he understood exactly what I wanted to do with it. I wrapped it up and lashed it to an old $20 trapper nelson pack frame...apparently the prices have gone up since I bought this one. Wasn't a huge bear but must have been fresh out of the den as the coat was about as soft and fluffy as it gets so I'm happy I did something with it.
