Trekmount for binos?

Anyone have experience with a Trekmount adapter. It straps to your trekking pole and essentially turns it into a monopod.
Weighs 0.58 oz.

Thoughts on using this to mount binos for light spotting and scouting? Using Vortex Viper HD 8x42

the more I look at it the more I don't like it.

I like to use my trekking poles for a quick monopod too, but don't think an adapter is worth the effort. Since this is for quick glassing, I'd rather just set my 8x30s right on top of the pole for stability.

If this was for go-pro footage, then I could see it's functionality.

That's what I have planned on doing. But if I can find a light and cheap way of mounting it for slightly longer glassing of a drainage then I would prefer that.
