..different results for each pair. Salomon Quest 4D 2 GTX - tried on a pair in the store while looking for new boots - felt pretty good but kept looking at other brands. A week later decided on the Quest but had to order online (same size as store) - that pair had a lump of material over the left big toe and was very tight on the lateral side of that boot. Right foot was great. Sent them back for the same size and the third pair felt superb all around, even better than the first pair in the store. 3 pair of the same model, same size and 1 pair was clearly better than the other 2.
Lesson here - if you like a model of boot and it is close but not great - try another pair in the same size - it may be better.
