Tripod for Spotting Scope recommendations

I am looking for a tripod for glassing w a spotting scope. Looking for something the best bang for the $. I do plan to use it some on backpacking hunts. Any suggestions and/or recommendations

What size spotting scope? I ask since what is required to keep a Kowa 554 steady is not necessarily enough to keep a STX 95 steady.
