I have a question on useable height of various tripods. I have been looking for a mid priced tripod that I can use while standing, and almost all of the tripods I have been looking at seem too short. They show a fully extended height of 60-64", but the description says for angled or straight spotters. I'm not the tallest guy out there, but 5'-0" to 5'4" is short for standing. Am I missing something? Does this not include the center post extended? Thanks for any help.

You don't want to be using the center post as it makes the tripod very unstable.

Your going to drop decent coin on a tripod that is both tall enough and stable enough to use while standing.

Here is a pretty good deal.

If your looking for something cheaper your going to be very unhappy with what you buy.

Tripod Height

The just released Promaster Specialist series was made for everything you asked for. It is tall, sturdy, has a 1 year (that we extend to 3 years for forum members, NO FAULT warranty).
Having been in the camera and optics industry for 35 years I can safely say there is no better tripod for the money out there then this series.
Here is the link to take a look at it.
