I always carry a tripod, manfrotto CF and recently switched/added ARCA adapters to all 5 tripods I own. As for the extra weight half the time I use the tripod like a walking stick so it is not a major burden. The ARCA let's me use it with any bino, spotter, and fo the rifle.
For the 2020 season my plan is to add a Henderson ARCA rail to a couple of my rifles and to switch to an Outdoorsman's tripod. The ARCA rail should allow easy switches to the tripod or using an adapter for the Harris bipod.
