I bought a trophy ridge react 5 pin. Shoots great at 20, 30 and 40 but it's about 8 inches high at 50 and 60.

Has anyone else had this issue?

For what its worth I am shooting an APA copperhead with a 29" draw length and 68 lbs weight. 100 gr field points.

I always imagined that anchor position might mess with that sight. Back in the day I tied my peep in the wrong spot which moved my anchor and changed my pin gap in a curious manner.

If you sight in at 20 and 60yds, the 30, 40, and 50 will be as close as the sight can get you. Should be more accurate than sighting at 20 and 30yds.

Thanks. Will try that.

Have you used this sight?

No it's the sight that adjusts its self.

Wow never played with one of those. I don’t get the point of it but whatever. From what I can tell you should zero at 20 and 60 like others have said, then you just might end up with your 30 being more like a 28 or 32 yard zero. It’s rarely going to be perfect, just look at sight tapes with a slider and you can see that.

As suggested, sight for 20 and at least 40. 60 is better. Then the pins will fall into place. They seem like a gimmick, but do work.

I have the sight and used 20 and 40 and have never had a problem
I will try and sight my 50 and 60 in tonight.

What's your draw weight, draw length, arrow weight etc?

My bow shoots 275ish FPS with a pretty standard arrow. I can't see it being the problem but you never know. Maybe the sight is just a POS too

I’m shooting 62#, 29” draw, arrows have been anywhere from 450-495gr, speed is 260-280. It’s been spot on from 20-60 every time.

That's pretty close to what I am shooting.

I messed with it again on Friday evening and it seems to be better. I sighted my 50 and 60 and was grouping good at those distances. but then 30 and 40 were off. So I tried 20 again and it was a tad high so I adjusted it and tried everything again. by the time I was done everything seemed a lot better. To windy to shoot today so I will try again tomorrow.

I've heard that sight is based off a speed of 280. Not sure if that's true or not. If your using the 20 and 60 yard markers then it doesn't sound like it's fps based.

I did use it for a while. Was drawn to the "ease" of sighting in... turns out that you've got to get 20 perfect before you get your next pin right (in most cases 60 yds is best for the second pin). If it turns out that 20 isn't perfect you have to start over, which kind of defeats the "ease" of getting all the pins just right. Seems you went through the same journey. Once it's all set, the 30, 40, 50 should be close. I could never get the 40 to stop shooting 2" high when 20 and 60 were on. This is only a problem if your groups at forty are less than ~4" in diameter, otherwise the pin accuracy is not the bottleneck and time is better spent on form than obsessing about 2" adjustments at 40 yds.
