Two Vets "The Ruck" Center Post Modification

Hey folks,

I got "The Ruck" tripod for my birthday last year, and after some range time I'd like to trim the center post. Has anyone modified their Ruck tripod before? If yes, were you able to get the hook secured back into the center post?

I like the ability to hang stuff on the hook for extra weight / convenience, so trying to figure out how to get the best of both worlds.

Well I figured it out thanks to some help from Dan at Two Vets.

If you unscrew the spring loaded hook, then you can punch the small roll pin through and take out the plastic assembly. After that you need to drill another hole for the role pin on the shortened post to put the assembly back in.
