For those that develope loads with no data to work of off. Where do you pull your initial charge weights from?

I'm looking to try a different powder but there is no data in any of my books to start with.

Powder manufacturers web site or email them.

Generally if your using a modern powder, not something from 50 years ago, and there is no data to be found there is a reason for that. The powder may not work well in the cartridge your wanting to use it in or maybe its down right dangerous.

I would call or email the powder manufacture and I would ask on this forum or The High Road reloading forum. I've had luck Googling powder info but one has to be careful with internet info. Why not post your question here, you might get the answer in short order.
