Anyone know what the weather has been like in Unit 81 North of Chama?

I guess I should clarify. I can find the current weather. I’m more interested in the past weather this year, ie snow and rainfall?

Hunted it last year. Lots of beetle killed trees. Snowed like a son of a gun during first rifle. In September, expect lots of slick muddy roads in high country. Have fun and hunt hard!

Not under a rock, but in Texas. It’s dry as a popcorn fart down here. Thanks for sharing that website. I was able to kind my hunting area and it looks like it’s been wetter than normal. Thanks

We’ve hunted it the last few years. Beetle kill is pretty bad.

Beetle kill was awful two years ago. Can’t image it has improved. Be careful where you camp so a tree doesn’t come down on you.

Beetle kill sucks in this unit(s) 80/81. If/when there is a fire, it's gonna be bad. The deadfall was bad before the beetle kill. Now it's horrendous. Be careful in that stuff
