Using Mapshare with your Inreach Mini

I've set up my contacts and customized the preset and quick text messages. I'd like to have my location be visible to those to whom I send a message and have clicked the "MapShare" to "On". I did not link to faceBook or twitter.

Is there anything else I need to do or will a map of my location automatically be included to those who receive a preset or quick text message sent by me?

Also, can the entire world see my location or just those who have received a text message from me?

Pretty sure you need to go online and send an email invite to each person you want to be able to track your movement in MapShare. I think you have done everything right as far as sending your location with your outgoing text message.

You can adjust the privacy of your mapshare page, it’s in the settings.
