Vacuum sealer for around $300?

I'm not sure you even need to spend that much. I've got a Nesco VS-12 (wirecutter's pick) and it works great. It does everything I need to do.

The Cabela's 12-inch got wirecutter's honorable mention. But it's 3x the price of the Nesco, and I'm not sure the performance is 3x.
