Im a big fan of Varget.

I use it in my 30-06, 243, 22-250. Its very versatile and resistant to ambient temperature changes.
[I should use it in my 270, but I have that set up with IMR 4064]

Anyone else use Varget?

I use it in my 120 grain NBT 7-08 loads. I had to switch to mag primers to get the accuracy that I was after, though.

Been playing with Varget in 7-08 with 139 SST. I finally got some decent accuracy with that bullet with this powder, I’ve drawn a blank with other powders. I’m seating at the lands which may also be a factor. I seem to be about 200fps slower than I’d like to be, and this is in a barrel that’s been fast with everything else. My powder is pretty old, haven’t cracked the new one open to see if there’s a difference.

I am new to reloading and I have a lot to learn, but I've used Varget on several hundred .308 rounds out of my AR10. Was easy to find an accurate load and seems pretty darn consistent.

I didn't like my velocity with 140 grain Accubonds/Partitions with Varget. Uncork the torque and use Big Game powder.

223 with 77 TMKs run on varget but it is too fast of a burn rate for most of the other cartridges I load for. Does great in 6.5x47 but so does H4350 which might be a bit easier on barrels.

I tend to lean heavily on the Hodgdon extreme powder of appropriate burn rate as a starting point for all my loadings.

Varget: 223
H4350: 6.5x47
H4831sc: .270 win and 300 WSM
H1000: 6.5 SAUM, 300 WM, 300 NM

I use Varget in my 7mm08 and .223 rem. It works surprising well (accurate) with bullets in the 50 to 55gr range as long as you are not looking for max velocity.

57 grains of Varget behind a 286 or 250 in 9.3x62, prefer the 286. Fooled around with other powders in that round, keep going back to that load.

Its my go to powder for my .308 Mt Rifle. It was hard to get a hold of for a while. Nice to see it around these days.

300 WSM.
150 Grain SST's and TTSX. Hornadys for practice, the Barnes for serious stuff.
Max dose of Varget (A little above if you dare) produced great velocity and accuracy out of Browning and Kimber.

I haven't used this recipe for awhile but I kept it in my notebook and still smile when I read my footnotes.

Varget is perfect for my 6BR and my 223. Going to try it in 6mm R.E.M.

Varget is perfect for my 6BR...

I use it in a couple 6 Dashers. 32.8 grains with a 107 smk on top gets me to 2980 fps. SD of 6.

I should try it in my 223 and 308 but i'm having good luck with another powder for now.

My go to with 140 grain Accubonds or Ballistic Tips in our 7mm-08s. All three of them shoot well under MOA with 42-43 grains of Varget.

I used Varget in my .223 and couple other rifles with good luck. My supplier said I should try CFE223 in my .223 because it was a cleaner powder, I've had good luck with that also. Is it cleaner, I don't know I don't clean guns very often but I'm happy with the CFE powder.

Use it with the 6.5cm I loaded with some Berger bullets with some data from a coworker and has been the most accurate powder with that combo that I've found, so works very well with me
