Picked up an old rifle yesterday that had this scope attached. It's actually a very good quality scope. I am not surprised, because it is made in Japan by Asia Optics, according to the Weatherby website.
It's a 3-9x40 with a locking focus ring on the eyepiece. The whole eyepiece turns to change magnification (like the Burris Fullfield II's do). It has the "TV" wide view in the scope. The clarity is excellent. I shot it at 300 yards today and could see the bullet hole impact at 9x.
There are currently two of these on Ebay listed at $350 and $419. I have no idea what it's really worth though.
This would make a nice addition to a vintage Weatherby rifle.
Only thing I can see wrong with it is that it's missing the rubber strip at the eyepiece. Otherwise it's in great shape. The glass is clean and scratch-free.
SCOPE IS SOLD.
Happy to accept offers as well.
