Vortex dead hold BDC reticle question.

Hey guys question here I recently purchased a vortex viper 4x-16x rifle scope with BDC reticle. Its mounted on my 300 Win mag which is shooting a barnes VOR-TX 165 grain bullet. I got on vortexes ballistic caculator and look up the specs of the bullet to determine the yardage for my hash marks after I did that I plugged it into a app that shows me a visual of the yardage. My question is if I'm shooting at something that ranges in between the yards on my hash mark would I just hold in between the two for my shotplacement? Picture attached to thumbnail

In theory that could work. What’s the bullet drop between the last two hash marks? Then compare that the aiming high vs aiming low.
