Why is the list price on the 50mm less than the 42mm? Are they missing any features? Mis print? Etc... They’re both HSR-5i reticles on the 42mm and 50mm in MOA. Both illuminated. Etc. Anybody know?

I’m not sure why. I wanted to chat Vortex today but it was down on their site. Both RZR-1590 and 1591 aren’t on the Vortex website, discontinued or otherwise. But I’m pretty sure they are spanking new releases, no idea why Eurooptic has them marked down so much.

Okay thanks for your input. I like how compact a 42mm is but can’t decide if I want a 50mm for my pack gun.

Yeah, the HSR5i being offered in the 50 is much more desirable than in the 42.

Anybody think it’s worth me selling my 42mm MOA version and getting the 50mm MOA? For a hunting rifle.

Agreed. I had the original 3-15x42 LH, it was great.

Edit:
Just got mine and immediately noticed the parallax knob is not marked with approximate yardages. I know they are rarely correct, but I like them for approximations in the field when hunting. I spoke to Vortex and they said that is because these were Europe specific models. It is marked 20 and infinity, and for anyone who wants to know the hashes should approximate this in yards:

20-30-40-50-60-75-100-150-200-300-500-Infinity

Anyone have experience with the 1591 3-15 x50 MRAD? Looking at getting this of Euro Optics as it’s cheaper but was curious what the difference is to other models that are more expensive?

It’s a special deal with euro optics. I have the 50 version. It’s made me rethink what I need for a scope on my rifles. Really like it so far.

It's a really really good hunting scope for the money! I really like them so far.

hoping vortex does another run of these! i want 50mm but NOT a bdc reticle. frankly if they made their ffp 4.5-22 in a 3-15x50, that would be the best of both worlds!
