Vortex Venom 5-25x56 vs Viper HST 6-24x50

Anyone out there own the Vortex Venom rifle scope? Anyone have a reason not to buy it over the Viper HST?

Venom is FFP, larger objective, greater magnification range, and cheaper
Viper is lighter.

Scope for my new 6.5 CM Tikka. Don't necessarily plan on super long-range shooting but nice to have the option. Anything I'm missing?

For the record, in case anyone finds this down the road, I had a chance to try out both scopes recently. It is insane how much physically larger the Venom 5-25 is. So big that it is entirely impractical for any hunting application.

The glass is marginally nicer on the Viper HST. I'm guessing this will shine in low-light or "cluttered"/woodsy conditions. It is still not a low-profile scope, but the 50mm bell lets a lot of light in. Vortex markets it as a "tactical" or long-range scope but I think it will serve my purposes very well.
