Hey all I need to decide on a scope for my new 6.5 creedmoor. My guns store is running a sale on these scopes plus savage/ vortex are running a $150 rebate promotion. So if I buy a viper I’ll get about 250-550 off the sticker price. Right now I’ve got a Vx6hd 4-24 on my 300wm so I’m leaning towards the pst gen 2 for a similar feel. Does anyone have experience with the pst2 or any of these scopes? Thanks!

$400 Viper HS 4-14x44 bdc
$400 Viper hs 6-24x 50 bdc
$400 Viper HS LR 4-16x44 dead hold
$700 Viper PST gen 1 6-24x50 ffp Ebr1
$800 Viper PST gen 2 5-25x50 ebr4

My boy runs the vortex viper pst gen 1 6-24x50 ffp on his tikka .308. He loves being able to Range and dial in the scope. At the range he has rang steel out to 633 with it, along with taking deer, elk and antelope in some harsh conditions.

I run a Viper HS LR 4-16x44 dead hold BDC that I purchased on sale at Cabelas two years ago. The bang for buck on that scope is pretty incredible IMO. I've thus far had no issue dialing, and took an elk with it at 475 yards this year.

I have the viper hs 4-14x44 bdc reticle and its a pretty nice scope. Good glass for the money, holds zero, and tracks good. My only complaint is the zoom adjustment is a little stiff...dont know if its just a Vortex thing or maybe just my scope

I have two of the vortex hst 4-16-44 . one is on a 300 and shoots 1000 yards no problemo. I have had it on there for 4 years and have wacked a couple elk with it and its always been great with no adjustment. If you can get a deal on them I think they are very hard to beat. With that said I have some other scopes that I would rather look through optically, but when it comes to hunting I have never been in a position where I said I wish I had better glass on those guns.
