I've compared the low light capability of my Leupold VX5HD scope and my Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42 binos in low light and I give the edge to the Leupold VX5HD scope.

Is the glass in Leupold binos as bright as their scope line? I am considering swapping out my Zeiss Conquests for Leupolds if they are as bright. The Zeiss Conquests are some very fine binoculars BTW.

Leupold's binocs are made in China and Japan since the gold ring line is gone. The scopes are made here (assembled at least).

Glass is not shared between the lines because Leupold is contracting the binoc production from some OEM overseas and they source their own glass to meet the specification Leupold gave them.

Leupold buys the glass for the scopes direct from the glass OEM.

They probably have a line of binocs that is as good or better than Conquests, but I don't know which those might be. The new BX4 and 5 lines are supposed to be pretty good.
