Aside from Skull Hooker any other suggestions for hanging Elk Euros?

I already have one on a Skull Hooker but wanted to see if anyone else had a suggestion.

I just tried a Top Rack for my buck from this year. It looks pretty good. I will post a pic from my phone later today.

Homemade from piece of scrap aluminum plate. Not an elk but I would think something similar could work. Only issue might be the presented angle one desires and/or wall clearance. I have used skull hookers for elk, antelope, and deer but I have a background that makes them unobtrusive

I just bought a couple Dead on Displays, they work great! I'll make something similar going forward.

I fasten a sturdy hollow wall anchor to the wall, wrap a piece of paracord through the atlas joint at the back of the skull and hang it. The head lays flat against the wall.

For the mule deer I did this year (posted in another euro mount thread), I used a 4" steel angle bracket and some narrow gauge cable.

I bolted the angle bracket to a slab of wood and ran the cable through the optical nerve orifice. The cable ends were secured under the steel. Tension on the cable keeps the skull with an angled display on the bracket.

I'm sure it would hold an elk without issue.

The best hanger for an elk is skull bracket out of Wyoming. You don't have to worry about that sucker going anywhere if you find a stud.

I use an eye bolt and a toggle nut, then a nice brass hook on the wall. Whole thing costs me $1.25. Just scale the size of bolt and nut to the animal.

A sturdy bolt set into a stud at a 45 degree angle works.

I have a deer euro on a skull hooker and I like it. For the last few I have used one called the Head Honcho. It is just an oval plate with a tab sticking out of the middle(somewhat similar to what Roy68 posted above). Amazon is out of them, but they have similar brands in stock.

If you are just looking to secure the euro to the wall, simplist way is to run a few loops of wire through the bones on the back of the skull where the spine attaches. Secure ( can be bumped and won't come down), and skull lays flat on the wall. If you paint the hook the same coulor as the wall (didn't do that in this pic) you won't even notice it.

Use a suitably sized hook that can handle the weight and make sure it's anchored into a stud. Costs about $5.
