Starting to develop a load for a Tikka TX3 Lite (1:11) have 168g TTSX, new Lapua brass, and using CCI LRP. I have the following powder options:

RL16 9.75 lbs
Ramshot Hunter 7.50 lbs
Varget 1.20 lbs
H4831SC 1.00 lbs
RL22 1.00 lbs
H4350 0.90 lbs
IMR4381 0.90 lbs
RL19 0.90 lbs
Superformance 0.50lbs

Obviously I'd like one that uses RL16 or Hunter, but open to others. Let me know, I'll start this load dev once I fill my Black Bear tag, so it may be a bit.

Have you checked Barnes load data? Surely there’s a 4350 or RL19 recipe.

Yep, I have Barnes and others, but was hoping someone with a 1:11 Tikka might have worked up an RL16 type load with that bullet. Or a load they love with that projectile. More than likely, I'll just run one myself and see where I get.

Doubtful it would matter much anyway. Someone else’s Tikka with same barrel twist is still unlikely to favor the exact same recipe as your Tikka. It’s all individual, even amongst the same make/model rifles.

.30-06 and IMR4350 go together like peanut butter and jelly. I always start there with .30-06.

That said, I don't have the exact load you are looking for, but I shoot 180 grain TTSX out of my Weatherby Mk V ULW using 48.0 grains of IMR 4064 with sub-MOA results.

I came up with 47.5gr of IMR 4064 on my T3X Lite. Hovered right around 2,800 fps from a chrony about 10-15 feet out. My group at 300yds was 1.587”, but it was horizontally distributed, so still more work to do. I was doing quick load development on it before a hunt and did not get any further than one session at the range. Hunt was successful.

The SD for the loads of 4064 at 48 looked good, so I think fine tuning between 47 and 48 will get it dialed in. I forget what brass, either Nosler or Winchester, but it was CCI 200s, and I think it was 0.05 off the lands.
