Just wanted to share this an approach I've recently taken in regards to water filtration... kinda like sawyer squeeze.
SOFTBOTTLE™ .5L | 1.0L x2 = 2.4oz (remove base caps, replace with push-pull cap)
PUSH-PULL CAP x2 = .4oz (zero out due to replacing base caps)
GRAVITYWORKS™ REPLACEMENT FILTER x1 = 1.9oz (remove the foam ends = 1.7oz)
GRAVITYWORKS™ PUSH-PULL CAP ADAPTER x2 = 1oz (or less, remove the plastic insert nipples)
Build: Two soft bottles, add push-pull cap, add adapters, fit filter between both units.
Benefit: Light, compact, quick filtration, clears sediment
Water capacity: 2L
Total weight: ~4oz
Added bonus: Use Smart Water disposable water bottles, have soft bottles rolled up for back up. You can have up to 4L of water storage in a low weight package.
